Consultant/Intern to Financial Due Diligence group (Transaction services)

The Opportunity

PwC is looking to recruit talented Interns to its Advisory department, Finance Consulting group.

Services provided by department:
— Assessing finance function effectiveness — conducting detailed diagnostics and benchmarking core finance processes;
— Developing finance function strategy – providing a long-term picture of your finance function, as well as new ideas, instruments, and solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency;
— Implementing SmartClose — accelerating the closing process to achieve more timely and accurate financial and/or management reporting;
— Developing IFRS/USGAAP, RAS, Tax, budgeting and management accounting methodologies – making sure the accounting and reporting data meet the needs of internal and external users;
— Assessing, developing and implementing a financial function organizational model – Shared Service Centers.
— The Role

Your responsibilities will include, but may be not limited to:

— conducting analysis to identify various opportunities for improvements;
— carrying out client and industry research;
— assisting in the design, development, test and implementation of new business processes;
— assisting in preparing client deliverables;
— preparation and participation in workshops for clients.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Graduates/Undergraduates of finance, economics, management departmetns;
— Knowledge of Russian Accounting Standards (ability to pass the test).Wider knowledge of Finance/Accounting (IFRS, management accounting, tax accounting) is an advantage;
— Work experience in related areas is an advantage;
— Russian – native/fluent, English – Intermediate and above (both oral and written).

The Opportunity
We are happy to anounce the opening of Intern/Consultant position in the Advisory Consulting Department, Forensic services group.
PwC Forensic Services practice provides financial, economic and statistical services to companies and their attorneys involved in litigation, arbitration, mediation and corporate investigation.

The Role
Active participation in the different projects with together with the Forensic Group.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

-Graduates of 2012/2013/2014/2015
-Ability to work full-time
-Attention to the details
-Analytical skills
-Multi tasking ability
-Fluent English
-Excellent communication skills
-Financial work experience as plus

The servicies provided by Department

-Financial due diligence
-Divestment services — vendor due diligence
-Tax due diligence & tax structuring
-Post deal services
-Due diligence assistance for IPO (e.g. LFR, WCR, SFR, etc preparation)

You will participate in the following activities (with the different levels of involvement):
-Conduct consulting services to acquirers and sellers for both local & international
-Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions
-Review of financial projection models and compare with historical results
-Participate in client meetings and site visits and interact with clients to gather information
-Use various software tools as designated by the firm Interact with the other practices of the Transaction departments including M&A, Global Capital Markets, Project Finance, Business Valuation& Strategy and co-ordination of working in cross line-of-service teams

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Strong academics: university degree, preferably science or economics, graduate 2012/2013/2014/2015
-Proven project management/people management skills
-Ability to operate in multitask environment
-Strong presentation skills
-Ability to work full-time
-Availability for overtime work and tough deadlines
-Business writing skills (both in Russia and in English)
-Russian – native / fluent, English – fluent
