Consultant, Tax&Legal

Providing expert services on funds management, payments, liquidity forecast, placement and attraction of monetary funds, conversion currency transactions, external financing;
Participating in project modules, ensuring the fulfillment of the set tasks by the agreed-upon deadlines;
Detailed description of business processes;
Writing of methodological documents (procedures, policies, regulations);
Preparing and conducting presentations on developed treasury solutions for clients;
Interacting with the client’s staff at every stage of the project;


University degree or last-year of program in the field of physics/mathematics, finance, risk management, IT;
Experience of work/internship in treasury/corporate finance department of a large Russian/international company or in a large commercial bank within Cash Management, Corporate Finance or Treasury functions will be considered as a plus;
Skills of programming and working with large data bulks, experience in creating business processes using professional software applications;
General understanding of the performance of funds management, payment process, financing, cash flows forecasting functions;
English to at least intermediate level.

Developing, implementing and modifying software in accordance with the technical specifications
Preparing technical documentation on the software developed

To fulfill the role the candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

There are two main functions in Tax services: tax advisory and tax compliance. Tax advisory frequently involves working in a multi-disciplinary team and meeting Finance Directors and Senior Managers on client visits. Tax compliance implies that you will take a more specialized approach to analyzing clients’ business and tax profiles, looking for process improvements and collaborating with advisory colleagues. But both functions have common principles — starting with an in-depth understanding of the client and a detailed knowledge of the technical issues coupled with communicating complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner. A typical client relationship involves:

Extensive preparation and research into the business and client issues;
Checking client tax returns for accuracy and identifying potential savings;
Helping clients by checking they have all the information required by tax authorities;
Organizing client files and preparing initial advice;
Consulting and communicating with clients’ senior management and auditors;
Mastering and understanding the latest tax legislation and working practices;
Closely monitoring the client — tax authority relationship;
Data analysis and modeling to help clients understand the implications of different tax solutions;
Preparing and presenting pitch proposals, client reports and recommendations.

Consultant, Tax Disputes Resolution Group

Intern, Information Risk Management

In managing a modern company, the abilities to establish a proper and lawful relationship with the tax authorities, predict and defend against conflicts with them are absolutely essential.
KPMG’s Tax Dispute Resolution practice offers a broad range of services and provides legal support of a high quality in the sphere of taxation, including representation of the client’s interests during the tax dispute resolution process.
Our tax dispute resolution services include:
— Assistance to companies during tax audits and prior to litigation;
— Representation of the company’s interests during the tax litigation process;
— Advising the client company regarding cooperation with government authorities in respect of tax legislation application.

To fulfill the role the candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

— Higher education degree or last year student majoring in Law;
— Good knowledge of Russian tax and accounting legislation is preferable;
— Confident English;
— Strong analytical and self-presentation skills;

External Audit
Organizations depend on IT for complete and accurate financial reporting and external auditors, in their turn, rely on IT systems and controls for an efficient and effective audit.
KPMG’s information risk management team (IRM team) work with the following parties to help them achieve their objectives:

Clients: To reassure shareholder interest that the IT function supports the business and is sufficiently controlled
Auditors: To ensure IT audit objectives are identified, tested and reported efficiently in line with KPMG Audit Methodology.
IRM team assists the audit team by providing assurance that the systems and applications used for the financial statements reporting are securely controlled and the related risks of error and fraud are minimized.
IT Advisory
We work with our Clients to analyze business technology issues within their businesses. A Client might approach us for assistance with:

Quality review of ERP implementation projects

Participating in a broad range of IT advisory projects (mostly depending on the chosen advisory lines) helping Clients to meet their business needs

Support the substantive testing phase of the audit performing CAAT procedures


Higher education (computer science, mathematical or technical)
Basic knowledge and understanding of major types of information systems, their structure, means of processing, storage and transfer of information
Basic knowledge of economics and business
Basic knowledge of SQL
Ready to travel
Good command of Russian and English (oral and written)
Willingness to study

Seen as advantage:

Proven experience in IT (system development and implementation, administration)
Proven skill in use of SQL (complex queries and DML), knowledge of widespread extensions
Experience in IT or IS audit
Experience in implementation or support of the ERP systems
