Intern in TAS Capital Equipment Valuation / Almaty

Internship within Assurance/Almaty

EY Kazakhstan currently proposes an exciting career opportunity for highly motivated candidates to join Transaction Advisory Services department as an Intern/Financial analyst.

Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help our clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right.

Our service offerings include:

Main responsibilities
— Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams.
— Carry out macroeconomic, industry and company specific researches.
— Participate in Market approach to valuation.
— Preparation of appropriate client reports and presentations.
— Demonstrate teamwork, motivation and commitment to perform exceptional client service.
— Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.

To qualify, candidates must have:
— strong knowledge in corporate finance/accounting;
— excellent analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
— PC proficiency including MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
— achievement of or progress towards a CFA/ACCA/CPA will be a plus.

EY is looking for an Intern in Capital Equipment Valuation Team within TAS department.

Responsibilities:
— Assisting the appraiser in valuation of capital equipment and real estate (buildings, structures, machinery and equipment, transport, etc.),
— Collection of market information for construction costs and prices for different types of production equipment,
— Writing letters to suppliers of equipment or construction companies with the requests for pricing information,
— Project data collection and processing,
— Market and industry researches,
— Performing calculations of value of fixed assets in accordance with International Valuation Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards,
— Analysis of comparable companies and properties,
— Site inspections and property visits,
— Writing valuation and feasibility reports both in Russian and English.

Requirements:
— Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering or technical specialties.
— Advanced user of MS Office applications.
— Fluency in English and Russian (both written and speaking).
— Any programming skills will be a plus.
— Experience in valuation, construction, engineering, project management, real estate appraisal is preferred.

Graduate Recruitment Campaign for Internship within Assurance/Almaty will take the period from October till December.

Main duties:
— Ensure that the areas of work assigned are executed in accordance with the work program and the firm’s methodologies and guidance, and professional standards.
— Use electronic working papers, efficiently including various software applications and sources of knowledge in an appropriate manner.
— Acquire and demonstrate competence in technical knowledge, and compliance process.
— Analyze and convert data into a compliance product (tax returns, etc.) and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the product.
— Where applicable thoroughly check documents and make available for review by the senior-in-charge in an appropriate manner.
— Ensure that the engagement leader or manager is informed about important tax or accounting issues on a timely basis.

Skills:
— Graduates from Finance / Economics / Accounting;
— Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other language is a plus)

EY is looking for Intern to Human Capital/ Performance & Reward group in Astana
(provides advisory in development of HR strategy and processes, developing various compensation schemes, job evaluation and grading structures, salary surveys, etc.)

Job profile:
— Participation in various HR advisory projects
— Organizing and participating in seminars, making presentations on HR topics
— Participation in meetings with clients / prospective clients
— Participation in research projects (salary surveys etc.), analyzing and structuring data
— Preparing analytical reports (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
— Preparing presentations in PowerPoint.

Requirements:
— Graduate, able to work full-time (preferable majoring in Management/ HR)
— Upper-intermediate English
— Fluent written and spoken Russian
