Bank of America Merrill Lynch operates a dual coverage model, with key clients covered globally by both the Corporate Banking and Investment Banking teams. The role of Global Corporate Banking is to manage client relationships and to provide strategic advice across three core pillars:
i) Capital raising (e.g. bonds, loans, acquisition finance, leasing)
ii) Risk management (FX, rates, commodities, pensions)
iii) Cash management and trade financeOrganised on a geographic basis, the Global Corporate Banking group serves a range of corporate clients across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. The scope of Global Corporate Banking is broad – it is necessary to work with partners in different product groups across the globe, offering an extremely diverse experience.As Bank of America Merrill Lynch strives for improved efficiency, Debt Capital Markets has now been combined with Global Corporate Banking to optimise our approach to client coverage. As a result, the role includes more direct exposure to the traditional Debt Capital Markets role, focused on providing strategic advice, structuring and execution on any debt funding initiative (across bonds, hybrid, private placement or loans).

As an Off Cycle Intern within Global Corporate Banking and Debt Capital Markets, you will:
• Assist Global Corporate Banking and Debt Capital Markets professionals in relationship management, origination and execution
• Provide market-informed judgments on a broad array of financing strategies to address clients’ specific needs
• Work on live transactions and interact with clients as you build your network and experience
• Help to generate ideas and cross selling opportunities for new and existing clients
• Support the Global Corporate Banking and Debt Capital Markets team in the development of client specific analysis (e.g. capital structure, acquisition finance)
• Stay informed on the latest market developments, interacting with other groups as appropriate
• Work closely with the Investment Banking team on client coverage and originationTraining

• Strong A-level grades and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent)
• Fluency in English and Russian is essential
• You’ll need to demonstrate drive, innovation and a genuine interest in the financial markets
• Team–working, leadership and problem–solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast–paced environment, multi–task and interact with a variety of people
